Half-Life 2 was recently released... and that means the full Source SDK will be released to the community shortly. I've always been a part of HLCI, but remained in the shadows until now. It seems this site has been frozen for a while, but don’cha worry about it. I promised to maintain HLCI, and I intend of keeping that promise. I’m going to try and get one of the wavelength admins to create a new section for Half-Life 2 coding, so as soon as the source is released, I can begin throwing tutorial links into the appropriate sections.

I have finished going through the c++/starter area, there are still a few more to add, but ive removed all the dead links, and added quite a few more from the wave length!

Hey, My name is Morthy, and I am now kind off taking over this site. I will be going through all the tutorials, and removing all the dud ones, plus adding lots of new ones, and I will try to update the site a lot. If you have any problems you can contact me at webmaster@morphed-interactive.co.uk
Thanks

Hey guys... yeah I just felt like posting an update.
By the way, if anybody wants to manage HLCI (ex: add news posts and tutorials), let me know.

I added another resource now: VERC Collective. They've had tutorials going up since the beginning of 2002 but I've been missing out. Well all their Half-Life coding articles are listed, but there is a lot of other information over there too that you can check out. You can click the link in the Navigation sidebar.

Okay, three updates today so far and each have a different news post. I guess I should get an edit news post think working so I can put this all in one post, heh. Oh well!
A useful Half-Life 2 / Source Mod FAQ has been released at the VERC Collective. Check it out here.

I don't know why I hadn't added this resource earlier. HL Coding Pages is now listed. It is a great resource for getting started with artificial intelligence. It only lived for a month, but it has enough useful articles to be indexed. Check the C++/Starter section and Server DLL->Artificial Intelligence section for some of its articles.

You may have noticed the new date posted column. This column will now display the date when the tutorial was added to the database. Since this is a new feature, all current tutorials are dated as being posted today. This will hopefully come in useful later when more tutorials are added. If it proves to be too useless, I will remove it.

Please take advantage of the new comment system in place. It's really awesome. However, all the comments from the previous system were not convertable, so all has been lost in that respect. When you view a tutorial, leave a tutorial for others to take note of!
And if you run into a comment you believe is inappropriate, click the "Report this Post" link and include a message as to why the comment is being reported. Enjoy!

Well, here's the new layout for the Half-Life Coding Index so far. Half-Life Coding Index is now integrated into Wavelength's user database system. All the tutorials are still listed but in a Wavelength-style. Everything will be working for you except you cannot currently rate tutorials. However, you can comment on tutorials with a new and VASTLY improved comment system. If you find anything's wrong, please e-mail me at rkzad@hotmail.com and I'll try to take care of it. Enjoy!
